I first heard about this project, and the group itself for that matter, at <a href="http://asis.org/Conferences/AM07/">ASIS&amp;T&#8217;s 2007 Annual Meeting</a>.  Although the whole conference was beyond excellent, <a href="http://www.code4lib.org/">code4lib</a> was one of the top five highlights for me.
