And now it is back. Yay.
Aack. The router is fracked again. I should just add an audio up/down status in the sidebar…
And once again the audio archives for the Millionaire’s Holiday are back on line. Hopefully there will be fewer power-surge-related disk melting incidents from here on out.

Byte Converter is nice for us lazy folks who cannot be arsed to do these conversions (or close approximations) in our heads. I’ve used this twice now in the past 18 hours so it probably warrants some link-love.

ZOMG. It’s amazing how much happier I am when the nightly builds go off without a hitch.

In an unfortunate power-surge incident, the machine hosting the audio files had its OS borked. The audio files themselves are kosher, fortunately, but the drive hosting the OS now has more bad sectors than Detroit. Bad enough to turn a 40GB drive into a measly 8.5GB of storage. Definitely time to get a new HD. Until then, the music shop is closed…

JMEP is exactly what I’ve been beating my head over for the past few weeks. Seriously way better than what I was writing and, from the testing I’ve done, way more robust. If you’ve been looking for an open-source java parser for mathematical expressions, your search is over.
Never was interested in building a parser, I’m way more interested in building a cross-platform GUI fantasy baseball draft manager. Using JMEP cut my own codebase by several dozen classes and simplified the whole stats interface aspect significantly.

Loving freeway traffic in rush hour. Accidents rule!
Come to find out a carcass truck had “lost its load” all over the I-80 eastbound lanes. It’s not the most squicky thing I’ve ever seen but identifiable body parts on the road is right up there. The smell of cooking bacon was unmistakable and I’ve sworn off commercial meat products again.

Radio DavidByrne.com. In the event there is one person out there still who has not yet heard of this. Fantastic collection of music streamed with decent compression. If I had the time I’d do a massive stream capture and cut tracks all day long.
Brought on by seeing this. A new collaboration between Eno and Byrne? Likely nice.

Other people’s installer code sucks. It’s an immutable law of nature.
